How to see God at work in your life
Talking to God is essential to have Him work in your life. This is just a conversation. It doesn't have to be loud, just a whisper will work. Unfortunately some make this time more of a show in front of others, and it does not have to be rehearsed, scripted, spoken in Old English, Hebrew or anything else.... just honest conversation. God will even honor it is you go to Him in honesty and say "God I want to see you work in my life, but I am just not sure of it all"
We all need to continue admit to God that we are sinners and that we are all broken and in need of a Savior.
Philippians 4:6- Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

We need to hear what God says to us. This is done through His word the bible, other Christian readings, other peoples testimonies or sermons. There are a lot of ways to hear what God is trying to tell us, but the bottom line is we have to be open and willing. You will hear Him if you are listening.
Revelation 2:7- Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what He is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.
We need to be willing to change but don't stop there. Though we strive to be Christ-like, we will never be Christ. I believe the closer we get to Him the more we reflect Him. There are always changes that we can make as we learn His ways.
2 Corinthians 5:17- For if a man belongs to Christ, he is a new person. The old is gone, the new is here.
John 15:5- I am the vine; You are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
It is important to be around others for encouragement, accountability, knowledge and growth. When we are withdrawn from others we can dig in to ourselves and begin to lose perspective. Others help to keep us grounded, honest and real.
Proverbs 27:17- As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
God has a higher purpose for us when we trust in Him and believe in Him
Romans 8:28- and we know that in all things God works for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose.
These five points are not in any order and they all need to be exercised. They build off of one another and they all work together.
